Late Night Hosts Mock Trump Over “Million Mentions” in Epstein Files

Comedians seize on claims that Trump’s name appears repeatedly in newly referenced Epstein documents — fueling fresh political debate.

Late-night television turned sharply political Tuesday night after claims surfaced that President Donald Trump appears “more than a million times” in the so-called Epstein files.

Representative Jamie Raskin, a Maryland Democrat, made the explosive remark earlier in the day — a figure many observers quickly noted may be hyperbolic, but nonetheless attention-grabbing.

On The Daily Show, host Jordan Klepper leaned into the exaggeration.

“A million times? There’s not even that many references to Hamlet in the play ‘Hamlet,’” Klepper joked.

Over on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Jimmy Kimmel added:

“That’s more than Harry Potter gets mentioned in all seven Harry Potter books.”

The Epstein documents — referring to materials connected to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein — have remained politically sensitive, with both parties accusing each other of selective outrage and narrative spin.

Klepper also joked about the logistical absurdity of redactions, quipping that removing Trump’s name that many times would be “like trying to remove the pee from the water park.”

The segment didn’t stop there. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick also became a punchline amid renewed scrutiny over past connections to Epstein, drawing sharp reactions from the audience.

While the “million mentions” claim has not been independently verified, the late-night response highlights how quickly legal and political controversies now migrate into pop culture — amplifying narratives far beyond official statements.

As the documents continue to circulate, one thing is certain:
the story isn’t staying confined to court filings — it’s dominating primetime.
