The bear that caused partial closures at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom on Monday was captured without incident and is now being relocated, according to a news release from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission

“In most cases, it is best to give bears their space and move on their own, but given this situation, staff captured the animal and are relocating the bear outside of the park to an area in or around the park. Ocala National Forest,” the commission explained. The agency added that the animal was a female bear.

The specialists shared that during the fall, bears are more active as they search for food to build up fat reserves for the winter. It is for this reason that everything seems to indicate that the animal was looking for food.

Approximately a dozen attractions were closed while authorities tried to locate the bear at Magic Kingdom, according to the My Disney Experience app.
The positive thing is that no injuries were reported after this species of carnivorous mammal from the ursid family entered.

This isn’t the first time wild animals have entered Magic Kingdom. In 2022, a user claimed that a snake bit his 12-year-old daughter. Fortunately, the park team acted quickly and the snake had no venom, so it was only a scare.
