The Bravo host says a striking Instagram post from Zarin Fabrics made it clear the fallout from her Super Bowl comments had gone too far.
Television personality Andy Cohen is opening up about the firing of reality star Jill Zarin, saying he realized the situation was beyond repair when her own family’s business publicly distanced itself from her.
Speaking on his radio show, Cohen addressed Zarin’s removal from the E! reunion series “The Golden Life” following backlash over her comments about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance.
Zarin had criticized the show for featuring songs in Spanish and expressed frustration over what she described as a lack of white performers in the production — remarks that many viewers labeled offensive.
The turning point, Cohen said, came when Zarin Fabrics, a company owned and operated by her stepson David, posted her headshot on Instagram with a large red “X” over her face. The caption made clear the company was distancing itself from Zarin.
“That’s when I knew the walls were crumbling,” Cohen reportedly said, adding that he will “never get over” the post.
In the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl, Zarin had publicly praised the family business, making the public rebuke even more striking.
The episode underscores how quickly celebrity controversies can escalate — and how reputational fallout can extend beyond networks and sponsors to personal and family affiliations.
