New Tucson Video Shows Man With Similar Backpack in Nancy Guthrie Case

Footage captured miles from the abduction scene is now under review as investigators search for connections.

Investigators are examining newly surfaced video from Tucson that appears to show a man carrying a backpack similar to the one seen in footage tied to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.

The video, recorded less than 20 minutes before Guthrie’s reported abduction, shows an individual walking with a dark backpack resembling the one previously identified by authorities. Earlier doorbell footage released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation captured a masked suspect outside Guthrie’s home carrying a black hiking-style pack.

Officials have not confirmed that the individual in the new Tucson footage is the same person, but the timing and proximity have drawn significant investigative attention.

Law enforcement has already raised the reward in the case to $100,000 and continues to review thousands of tips from the public. Authorities stress that while similarities in clothing and accessories are notable, confirmation requires further forensic analysis.

Guthrie, 84, was last seen after returning home from dinner with family. Surveillance footage and alleged ransom communications have since intensified national attention on the case.

For now, investigators are working to determine whether the new video represents a breakthrough — or simply another piece of a still-unfolding puzzle.
